Energizing or sleepy?

Energizing, by every account. Leafly rates Lamb’s Bread mostly energizing, lists energetic first among its effects and places it among the strains for feeling energetic in its list of the 100 best strains; seed sellers sell it as a daytime strain.1,7,9 The exceptions are small: Yardie Seeds describes its selection’s effect as a “relaxing light buzz”, and Leafly notes that one of four phenotypes shows indica-like characteristics.1,8

Why two batches can feel different

Potency alone varies: one in ten lab-tested batches came in under 16.96% THC and one in ten above 26.89%, and the Maryland and Washington medians sit 6.4 points apart.10 The name covers more than one plant: Leafly describes four phenotypes, SeedFinder lists six breeders’ versions, and the one genetic study to test a “Jamaican Lambs Bread” sample found it nearly identical to an Afghan indica (see genetics).1,11,12
